Prior Texrenfest School Days: Remembering When and Looking Forward To The $5.00 Crystal Jewelry Shop Where The Necklaces and Bracelets are geared towards School-Age Children and Teenagers.
2015 was my first year at the Texas Renaissance Festival and I was thrilled to be photographed by a student entering the Photography Contest during the School Days Competitions. I was even more excited to see the participant photo by Jessica Perez, Calhoun High School, win First Place Feature Photo with Her Photo of SweetSatya®️ Crystal Collector Jewelry Artist in action selling custom created Stretch Bracelets for $5.00 each outside my Crystal Jewelry Shop SweetSatya's Earthen Art at the Texas Renaissance Festival, Todd Mission, Texas. Below is Jessica's Photo with her Description.
“Art comes in many forms, and for SweetSatya, her art comes in a bit of a peculiar [sic] form, rocks. Satya’s art seems simple, but later you’ll see that this art form will take a lot more concentration than you’d think. Each and every piece of art from Satya is handcrafted and designed to be its own individual. Her displays are truly breathtaking and are definitely a one of a kind display that you can only find at the Renaissance Festival.” Teachers, bring your students and have them analyze the geometry of the Crystals, do descriptive writing, and use them as a motivator to look into and write about the history of Crystals as well as to examine how Crystals Are formed.
I am really looking forward to seeing all of you teachers and your students whether again or for the first time, during our School Days on November 4th and 5th 2020. They are truly some of the most exciting days of the season!
